Lee Yong Dae from South Korea has been successful in both men’s and mixed doubles. He has an impressive record, Olympic Gold Beijing 2008 and Bronze London 2012, World Championships 3 Silver, 3 Bronze, Asia Championship, 4 Gold Medals, Asian Games, 1 Gold, 3 silver 2 Bronze, 10 Super Series Premier wins, 26 Super Series wins, Super Series Finals Champion and ranked world #1 in men’s doubles for 104 consecutive weeks, Lee Young Dae is a true legend.

Having retired from his national team, Lee Yong Dae wants to encourage others to play badminton. One of the contributing factors in his decision to retire was his interest and enthusiasm for The Legends Vision – “I am, very interested in Legend Visions and believe it to be a great way to promote badminton worldwide. I am specially interested because like me, they all share a common goal to inspire and motivate the younger generation. I’m very honoured to be joining The Legends”.

My vision

Vision: To develop tournaments to motivate junior players and encourage them to play and practice more and help raise the profile of badminton.
