Ha Tae-kwon

South Korean star Ha Tae-kwon is one of the greats of world badminton. His proud status as a World and Olympic champion made him a perfect Yonex choice to join team-mate Yoo Yeon-seong  in The Legends’ Vision.

His men’s doubles career record is amazing with 288 wins from 377 matches and his partnership with Kim Dong-moon brought him a World title in 1999, an Olympic bronze in 2000 and finally Olympic gold in 2004 in Sydney when they defeated team-mates Lee Dong-soo and Yoo Yeon-seong in the final.

On top of that Ha and Kim also won the Yonex All England title in both 2000 and 2002, that last win giving Ha his third All England title, having won with Kang Kyung-jin in 1997 as well.

In 1998 Ha and Kang won the Asian Games men’s doubles title, which Ha retained the following year with Kim Dong-moon before winning with him again in 2002.

With a track record like that Ha Tae-kwon is a worthy addition as an ambassador to The Legends’ Vision initiative and will be a real inspiration for the youngsters taking up our great sport.
