The former World No.1, with over 23 titles to her name and still only 28 years old Saina Nehwal’s record speaks for itself.
Saina has set numerous records for Indian badminton some of which include being the first ever Indian to win a medal in every BWF major event. In addition to becoming the first Indian to win an Olympic medal when she claimed the bronze medal in the 2012 London Olympics.
With 10 Superseries titles and multiple other accolades to her name Saina has become a role model to many young badminton players across the world. She is now considered one of the most successful Indian sportspersons of all time. In 2016 she was awarded the Padma Bhushan – India’s third highest civilian award by the Indian government.
