Pusarla V. Sindhu regarded as the next shining star of Indian badminton, caught the eye of the badminton world when she broke into the World’s top 20 at the age of 17.

Just one year later in 2013 she became the first ever Indian woman’s singles player to win a medal at the Badminton World Championships when she claimed a bronze. She would later go one better in 2017 with silver in Glasgow.

During the Rio Olympics Pusarla made history by taking silver, becoming the first ever Indian shuttler to reach the final of an Olympic event and the youngest Indian to make the podium in an individual event at the Olympics.
